September Inspiration by Judy

Happy Monday!
It's Judy here
sharing my inspiration project for this month.

I created a mixed media canvas using

I started by coloring the image with pencils and fussy cutting.
I pulled out a 12"x12" canvas,
a 12"x12" piece of DP from K &Company
and some mixed media gel.

I adhered the DP to the canvas with the gel.
Next I pulled out some metallic acrylic paints,
a Heid Swaps stencil and gold texture pasted
and some wood and chipboard pieces.

I took the metallic paints and randomly painted the canvas,
just to give a little interest to the background.
I applied the texture paste through the stencil.

While I left the paint and texture paste to dry,
I primed the wood and chip board pieces with white gesso.
When these pieces were dry Painted with gold paint.
I painted the sides of the canvas with gold paint also.

Once everything was dry, I added all my pieces to the canvas.
I ended up adding a fan I made with card stock,
some paper flowers and some seed beads.

This is what I ended up with!

I love doing these mixed media canvases
because there's no right or wrong
and I think they make great gifts!

I hope I've inspired you to give it a try!
You'll have fun and want to do more!

Until next time
Happy Crafting!

Victoria's Septemeber Inspiration Post

Hello everyone! I hope that your having a lovely day/evening. I'm Victoria and I'm here to share my very first inspiration post for Cute As A Button. I've used the new Force Be With You digital stamp. I totally love him. There are several more new digital stamps you can find them at the Cute As A Button Store.

I've coloured them with Spectrum Noir Markers and Pencils. To create the background I've used distress inks and white Acrylic paint. Then I used homemade textured paste and distress inks for the planet and moon to make them 3D. I've finished of with the sentiments and pearls.

There is currently a challenge going on at the Cute As A Button Challenge Blog and a Progressive Challenge on the Cute As A Button Facebook Group. We'd love to see you come and join in the fun with us.

I hope you like my card. I had so much fun making it. Thank you for taking the time to read my post today.

School Is In!

Hiya, everybody! I've got some crafty cuteness from Cute as a Button to share with you today!
I've been big lately about using scraps and things I don't normally use. For example, lots and lots of REAL stamps! So, lately, I've been combining the two and I think these are coming out too cute! lol Let me show you what I mean!
Click on the images for a closer look!
This is School Is In and what a perfect time to be working on back to school cards! lol I've a heap of nephews and nieces going back to school or starting college. This came in super handy for me.
I colored the image with Copic markers and a silver gel pen. The notebook paper is from my stash. I made the little 'school books' from scraps and hand wrote the 'titles' of the books on the 'spines'. The apples are from a stamp set in my massive collection. Button is from a jar of buttons I found at Hobby Lobby. The twine is from Whiskers Graphics.
Be sure to stop by the challenge blog and join in on this month's fun! You can also check out CAAB on Facebook and see more inspiration on Pinterest! Don't forget to stop by the store and have a look at all the other cute images available!
Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to come back to see more cool stuff my teammies are sharing!
