Good morning all!
It's Judy here sharing my inspiration post for December.

I created an altered notebook using

I colored the image with pencils and fussy cut.
Next I pulled out some papers to go with my colored scheme.

I covered the front of the notebook with the background papers.

I decided on a layout using some circle dies.
My DP is from the Paper Studio's "A Day at the Beach" paper pad.

I die cut my "Dream" title and
decided to add a little glitter
to the letters and the mermaid.
I finished up with some glittered sticker dots and
 this is the end result!

Victoria's December Inspiration Post

Hello! I hope that your having a lovely day/evening. It's Victoria here, I'm stopping by to share my inspiration post for this month. I've decided to crated a Christmas Card using two Cute As A Button images called Mary Did You Know and Drummer Boy. I thought that these two images went together really well and can be found at the Cute As A Button Store.

I've coloured them both with a mixture of Spectrum Noir Markers and Rembrandt Aquarell Pencils and fussy cut them out. To create the sky background I've used Distress Inks like water colours. Then I added small die cut stars and a big heat embossed glittery gold star that I created. I also computer generated the sentiment. Mary is stood in the stable which I designed. To add texture I added straw/dried out grass to the roof.

There is currently a challenge going on at the Cute As A Button Challenge Blog and a Progressive Challenge on the Cute As A Button Facebook Group.
We'd love to see you come and join in the fun.
I hope that you like my creation.
Happy crafting.

Wise Men Still Seek Him

Hi!  Karen here to share some inspiration with you...well, I hope you feel inspired by this card.

This was a fun card to create.  I started with adding everything to my print program.  The image used was Gifts For King Jesus.  You can also get this image pre-colored HERE.

***Did you know that if you want your black to show up better on your digi papers, print the paper first then run the sheet through again with the black where it was supposed to be and remove the digi paper?  Yep, it makes the solid black picture/font show up better!

Once I had everything printed out I colored the image.  I used colored pencil only for this one.  One thing I like to do to give it a softer look is to color the entire image heavily, then use my eraser and erase everything I just colored.  Sounds crazy, but it works.  After coloring the image I fussy cut it out and added pop dots to the back.

I added a little burlap, a burlap flower, 2 paper flowers, some pearls, a gem star, part of a doily, black ribbon and some hemp twine.  The outer sentiment is mine.  The sentiment that came with the image is printed in the inside of the card.

Thanks for looking!

Victoria's November Inspiration Post using Santa Having Cocoa

Hello everyone! It hope that your having a lovely day/evening. It's Victoria here I'm here to share my inspiration post for this month. I've decided to get into the Christmas spirit and I've create a Christmas Card using Santa Having Cocoa. There are some new Christmas digital stamps you can find them at the Cute As A Button Store.

The sentiment is a digital stamp made by Tracy Wray which I've added foam pads to. Then to finish of I've added die cut Holly by Creative Expression and a flower punch that I've layered up and added a yellow gem to the middle to create a poinsettia flower.

Margaret's inspiration post for November

I am a couple days early posting my Inspiration for November.

This month I have made a mixed media journal page (and a mess)

I covered my page with Gesso Primer then painted it with green and blue Ecoline Brush Pens.
Sprayed with water and tipped up and down to mix the paints.
Used moulding paste through clouds stencil.  I thought that they would stay white but they became blue after a while.
Used distress ink and gel pen through mini climbing vine stencil.
Stamped grass and flowers and butterflies from Posh Impressions stamp-a-scene set.
Printed girl from Cute as a Button precoloured IMG120 Love conquers all, cut out and layered girl on top.   Printed the sentiment from the set a bit bigger, cut out and sponged with distress ink and layered on top.
Added white flowers with rhinestones.

I hope you will follow this showcase blog and see the lovely work every few days by the design team.

Karen's Theatrical Inspiration

Being a stage actress one of my favorite things is the comedy tragedy masks...I saw this fun image (TWO CHOICES) and had to use it for my inspiration piece this month.  I have a silhouette machine so, from the Silhouette store, I purchased this fun DRAMA THEATER STAGE set by Samantha Walker.

I chose to go with black, burgundies and golds.  Once I cut the shapes and put it all together I added my image...How?  Well...I colored the image first, then scanned the colored image into my computer.  Once I scanned it into my computer I used my print program and lightened it so that the sentiment would show up more clearly.  I then cut it all out and added it behind the stage.  I then used pop dots to the stage to add some fun dimension.  Once it was all put together I added the gems around the entire thing to frame it.  Then sprayed with Glimmer Mist.

Thanks for looking!

October Inspiration Judy

Hey all!
It's Judy here sharing my inspiration project for this month!

I chose to do an altered wooden letter project using

I started with a 9 1/2 inch wooden letter
and printed the digi.

I chose a cute printed paper I thought would work well.
I turned letter face down on the backside of the paper and traced
and then cut out.
I used acrylic paint to cover the backside and edges of the letter.
Once this was dry I applied the cut out paper to the front
of the letter with decoupage medium. The next step was
to use the medium as a sealer over the paper.
While this dried I fussy cut the image which was colored
to match the paper.

Next I decided where to place the image and a banner

I put together with die cuts, glittered sticker letters
and baker's twine.

Once these pieces were adhered I punched and layered some flowers
and pulled out some buttons.
Once I had everything placed and attached I decided
to add some die cut leaves as the last touch.

I think this would make such a cute piece of nursery decor and hope that
perhaps, I've inspired you to try a project like this.
