January Inspiration by Judy

Hello!
It's Judy here sharing a little inspiration!

I created an altered notebook using

I started by coloring the image with Prismacolor pencils
& gels pens and fussy cutting. Next I pulled out a notebook,
chose papers that would coordinate well with the image
and a Fishers template to cut  frame.

I added some embossing to the frame with a
Cuttlebug border embossing folder.

I added DCWV DP to the notebook cover.

I glued ribbon to the cover, in order to tie the notebook shut,
and added the frame on top

Next I added the image to the frame.
The sentiment was computer generated and stamping was added
to frame the sentiment before die cutting with a
stamp and die from Hot Off the Press.
I also added some stickles to the flower on the mask.

To finish I added some feathers behind the image.

Here's a closeup

I hope you'll visit
and check out all the products available.

You still have a couple days left to

Victoria's January Inspiration Post

Hello!! It's Victoria here I'm stopping by to share my inspiration post for this month. I've created my very first Centre Stepper Birthday Card using a Cute As A Button image called I'm Sweet On You. This image is one of the new release images the other beautiful new images can be found at the Cute As A Button Store.

I've coloured her with a mixture of Touch Five Markers and Watercolour Pencils. To create the backgrounds I've used Distress Inks like water colours. I die cut some balloons, coloured them to match the image colours and added string to them to create some interest to the sides. The die cut at the bottom is a Spellbinders die cut. Then I've finished off with a big handmade bow. I hope you like my card.

We'd love it if you could stop by and see the current challenge going on at the Cute As A Button Challenge Blog and the Progressive Challenge on the Cute As A Button Facebook Group.

Thank you for taking the time to read my post.

January Inspiration by Patty

Happy New Year everyone! I hope your year is starting out with some fun makes with Cute As A Button digital images. I am using " " for my inspiration demo. I am going to show you how to cut your stamped image 'outside' the die! This is a fun way to add a little eye catching emphases on a stamp. In this case I chose the baby bump!
First I chose the dies I would be using for my project.
Then I made my die cuts!

I chose white and red  to accent  my colored image!

I lay my oval die over my colored digi stamp to determine when I would be hanging my image outside the die. I use a light pencil mark to determine where I will be making my fussy cutting with scissors.
Next I made small cuts along my image lines to place the die for cutting.
By cutting along the image lines you can slip the die behind the portion of the image you want 'hanging' outside the die cut.
I completed my fussy cutting and erased any pencil marks that were showing.
I chose to pop my image over the bottom die cuts with foam dots!

A closer look at my finished card!
You can find more detailed instructions on my blog at:
https://patty-inkitup.blogspot.com
I hope you will give this a try! Have a great day and be sure and check out the new stamps a CAAB!

Laminated Bookmark

We ran out to the store last night to pick up a few things for the little guy and right next to it is a Panera Bread. We've never been in one before; but Grandma gave hubby some Gift cards at Christmas, so we figured we would give it a  try. The Broccoli Cheddar  soup was awesome, sandwiches were great ... hubby loved the Cinnamon Rolls and lil man gave the Fudge Brownie a BIG thumbs up.

It kind of reminded me of the restaurants and coffee shops we would frequent back in Silicon Valley....very relaxed and a place people come to hang out, read, chat and do homework. So, that inspired this next project...I am going to abandon some pieces here next time we go as part of our Abandoned Art missions.

Here is my January Inspiration for the Cute As A button Inspiration Show case, featuring "IMG00284 Nothing Like A Good Book"  I used my own Sentiment for this project.

Love and Romance

Hello!  I hope you all had a very happy holiday season, regardless of what holidays you were celebrating (since there are over 30 different holidays in December alone).  Now we have Valentine's Day coming up in February.  I decided to make a bookmark (I also enjoy reading romance novels).  I thought this would be a nice gift for another reader...  This is a tall/skinny bookmark/card.  It measures 3" x 5-1/2".  The sentiments on the cards are puffy stickers.  I added gems and punched some hearts then added Stickles over them.  Most of the image was colored using  a #2 pencil.  This is one of my favorite CAAB images, it is called Pierrot Clown.

Thanks for looking!
