March Inspiration by Dawn

Hi everyone, it’s Dawn here (again!) on this fabulous Tuesday and I have a fun and easy little project to share using Cute As A Button digital image 'Smell The Flowers".

When I color all those pretty Cute As A Button stamps I like to keep a record of the Copic colors I used – that way it is easier to keep track of my color choices for future use.

Copics used:
Skin - E11, E00, E000, R20
Hair - E35, YR24, YR31, E50
Clothes  - V17, V15, V12
Flowers - R83, Y13
Butterflies - YR04
Grass and leaves - YG67, YG63, G20
Directions on how to make the card
First you need to print out your image. I wanted to use a certain die, so I sized my digital image to fit the die.  I also wanted to highlight the saying, so I used a smaller die and sized the saying to fit the smaller die. (see photo below to see how I did this)
Next, I used my die and cut out my images before I colored it.  I only cut out the sentiment in the one image.

Next color your image. Here's the completed colored image:

Next you want to cut out your mat for behind the image. Using a slightly larger die, cut out your mat:

To create the card base: Cut a piece of cardstock to 6x12.

Score CS at 6" and fold in half.

Cut pieces of Cardstock to decorate your card base. You will want to cut 1 piece of purple cardstock to 5 7/8. Then you will want to cut a piece of Designer CS to 5 3/4.  Here is all your pieces for your card:

Lay out your pieces so you can see what the finished card is going to look like. If you like the way it looks, then assemble your card.  Here's the finished card:

March Inspiration by Judy

Hello!
It's Judy here sharing my inspiration for March!

I used one of Francesca's gorgeous images called

I started by coloring and fussy cutting the image.
Next I gathered items I had in mind to use.

I prepared a card base.
Although I originally pulled out 2 Paper Studio embossing folders
I ended up only using one of them.

I used a Spellbinders die to cut a frame.

Next, I stamped the sentiment with a Inspired by Stamping stamp and
inserted the image in the frame and attached to the card base.

Finishing touches were added and the project is complete!

I hope you'll check out all the beautiful images at

March Inspiration by Nicky

Here is my inspiration for you today. Its a cute and sparkly card for a little girl. I hope you all like it :)

I made this card using the 'Hi-Tops Fairy' image from Cute As A Button. Find it at the shop link below.

Here are some step by step instructions of how I made the card.

First I chose some card and a card blank that matched the size of the image and coloured the image to suit the coloured card i chose.

I used the following Promarkers:

Clothes, flower and shoes- Orchid, Amethyst and Yellow.
Skin - Dusky Pink and Blush.
Wings - Pale Pink.
Hair - Sandstone and Cinnamon.

Next I cut out the fairy leaving a small white space around her to help her stand out against the purple card.

I chose a 5" x 6.5" card blank, mounted the purple rectangle centrally, using double sided tape, leaving the white border around the edge. I added the fairy using foam tape into the middle of the purple rectangle. I added lots of small clear gems randomly around the card to add some bling to suit a girly girl.
