January Inspiration by Dawn

Hi everyone, it’s Dawn here (again!) on this fabulous Friday and I have a fun and easy little project to share using Cute As A Button digital image Love Banner.

When I color all those pretty Cute As A Button stamps I like to keep a record of the Copic colors I used – that way it is easier to keep track of my color choices for future use.

Copics used:
Skin - E11, E00, E000, R20
Hair - E25, E23, E21
Clothes  - E44, E43, E42, E41, E40, R85, R83, R81
Directions on how to make the card
First you need to color your image. Here's the completed colored image:

Next, Using a die, cut out your image:

Next you want to cut out your mat for behind the image. Using a slightly larger die, cut out your mat:

Next attach the colored cut out image to the cut out mat:

Next I used a border die and cut it out of some Designer paper. This will be placed at the top of my card.

Next cut out some hearts and a banner to use to decorate your card.

Attach the border to the top of the card.

Lay out your pieces so you can see what the finished card is going to look like.

After looking at the layed out pieces, I decided to add some lace to my card. Here's the finished card:

January inspiration - Christine

For my January Inspiration post I chose the raggedy Elephant it's such a cute stamp here's the finished card.
What I did to start with was printed off the digital image which I then coloured in using my spectrum noir alcohol markers, I then used my spectrum noir pencils to add some extra depth especially around the edges and add some extra shading.
I then cut the elephant out and I went through my paper stash selecting some pink papers to use as backing papers
I laid out my card and decided to add some pink pearl hearts and a doily in the centre. I then used my big shot to die cut the purple tag and added on a sentiment that reads to my dearest niece.
I hope you've enjoyed seeing my latest card and it's given you a bit of inspiration.

January Inspiration by Nicky

Here is my inspiration for you today. Its a fun project. I hope you all like it :)

I made this card using the 'Raining Shamrocks' image from Cute As A Button. Find it at the shop link below.

Here are some step by step instructions of how i made the card.

First I chose some paper and card that matched the image, then coloured the image to match the colours on the card/paper.

I used the following Promarkers:

Shamrocks - Pine.
Grass - Grass.
Clothes - Leaf Green, Canary and Buttercup.
Skin - Dusky Pink, Blush and Sunkissed Pink.
Sun - Yellow and Canary.
Cloud - Warm Grey 2 and Warm Grey 1.
Shadow - Warm Grey 1.
Raindrops - Powder Blue.
Boots - Pine and Leaf Green.
Umbrella - Canary, Buttercup, Mustard and Vanilla.
Hair - Sandstone and Cinnamon.

Next I Chose a 7" x 7" white card blank, cut the large plain green card to 16.6cm and the shamrock paper to 16cm. I measured the image and added 0.6mm to the measurements and cut a piece of the same plain green card to fit a mat to the image. I chose some embelishments to go with the colours and the image and cut out a sentiment to match.

Then I put all the pieces together to check the layout of how I wanted the card to look. When I was happy with the layout I stuck it all down.

I stuck the shamrock paper to the green card, wrapped the ribbon around the whole lot, then mouned it to the card blank. I added the image and sentiment, then some gems to the image and to the top and bottom of the sentiment.

I used flat double sided sticky tape for the base green card, shamrock paper and the image. I used foam tape for the green card behind the image and the sentiment.

January Inspiration by Judy

Hi all!
It's Judy here today with my January Inspiration post.

With Valentine's Day just around the corner
I went with a fun digital stamp that is
appropriate for that occasion!

Once I decided on the image I chose a card sketch
which I found on the Paper Craft Support Group Facebook page.
I am rotating the sketch to accommodate the long image.

I chose a color scheme which came from
the papers I wanted to work with -
doodlebug design's take note 6x6 paper pad.
The image was colored with Crayola Twistables color pencils and Fiskars gel pens.

Next, I fussy cut the image.

Now I'm ready to start putting the card together.

My base is a 5 x 6 1/2" blank card.
I cut panels of white and printed card stock which were all matted.
The white panel that is the background for my image
was embossed with a Paper Studio embossing folder
for a little texture.

Next the 3 banners were cut with a Sizzix die.

The panels and banners were adhered to the card base.

The card is ready for the image which I popped with foam squares.

Now i just need finishing touches -
The clipboard was cut from the paper pad I used.
A sentiment was stamped with this set from Oriental Trading Co.
The enamel dots are Teresa Collins.

And we're done!

Hope you like it!
I loved putting it together!
